Wentz Says Former Teammate Helped Him Choose Chiefs

The newest quarterback in Kansas City says the decision was an easy one after talking to a friend.

Carson Wentz signed a one year deal with the Chiefs earlier this week, to serve as the primary backup to Patrick Mahomes. Wentz was drafted by the Eagles in 2016, and has played for five different teams in the past five seasons, battling injuries and inconsistency.

He says former teammate Nick Foles gave a strong recommendation of Coach Andy Reid.

Wentz has 95 games of experience in his NFL career, throwing for 153 touchdowns, as well as being an underrated mobile threat. He will begin his ninth NFL season, and will turn 32 years old in December.
