The Wildcats are active in the transfer portal, landing their first commitment for the 2024-25 season.

 

Guard Dug McDaniel has committed to the Wildcats, after two seasons at the University of Michigan. McDaniel is from Washington D.C., and was a four-star recruit in the Class of 2022.

 

McDaniel is a dangerous scoring threat, averaging nearly nine points per game as a true freshman, before averaging 16.3 points per game this year, including improving his 3-point shot to 37%. He is also a talented playmaker, ranking Top 10 in the Big Ten Conference in assists per game.

 

McDaniel is a Top 15 transfer available in the portal, and widely considered a Top 3 point guard. He will have two seasons of eligibility remaining.
