The Jayhawks land a top transfer in the portal, with a hometown connection to Lawrence.

 

Guard Zeke Mayo has announced his intention to transfer to Kansas, after spending three seasons at South Dakota State. Mayo is from Lawrence, and chooses the Jayhawks over Houston, Texas, and Oklahoma.

 

Mayo was a leader on the Jackrabbits team that went 22-13 this season, and made an appearance in the NCAA Tournament. He averaged 18.8 points per game, shooting 47% from the field and 39% from behind the arc.

 

Mayo was one of the top transfer guards available, ranking No. 12 overall and the No. 2 point guard, according to 247 Sports.
