The Region VI playoffs open this afternoon, with the Red Raven men's team at home against the Pratt Beavers.
Coffeyville has experienced a difficult regular season, filled with ups and downs, ending with a 9-15 league record and the No. 8 seed.
The Ravens may be avoiding one of the top scorers in the KJCCC. Head coach Jay Herkelman says Pratt star Zion Cruz is dealing with an injury.
CCC has a few injuries themselves, with CJ Smith and Alvin Cole both on the mend. Herkelman says they are both progressing, and could be available.
