Red Ravens Land Trio of Local Football Players

 

Three local high school football players will continue their careers at Coffeyville Community College.

 

Payton Gaines and Javen Alexander of Baxter Springs, as well as Kendall Holtzman of Labette County, all officialy committed to the Red Ravens this week.

 

Gaines had a memorable senior season, earning honorable mention All-State as a quarterback. He will be playing wide receiver at CCC.

 

Alexander will be a versatile athlete for the Ravens, having played wide receiver, tight end, linebacker, and safety in his time at Baxter Springs.

 

Holtzman is one of the most accomplished quarterbacks in Labette County history, breaking school records for passing yards and touchdowns, with 40 touchdowns and 5005 yards, respectively.

 

He says his loved ones have motivated him on his journey.

 

CCC will begin spring practice later this month, and summer workouts will continue in July.
