It was a tough weekend in Concordia for the Red Ravens, who dropped a pair of games to Cloud County.

 

The Lady Ravens spent most of the game within striking distance, but couldn't overcome the strong offensive day from the Thunderbirds, in a 78-70 defeat.

 

Freshman Alexis Parker had 19 points and six rebounds to lead the Ravens. Bailey Layman and Karys Washington each had 12. Bailey Burns led Cloud with 29 points.

 

The men began the game in an early 21-5 hole, but battled back to cut the deficit to three in the second half. The team couldn't come all the way back, however, falling 65-55.

 

Jahni Summers led the Ravens with 22 points, Cris Carroll had 15, and Brian Griffith had 14. The remainder of the team combined for just four points.

 

Coffeyville returns to Nellis Hall tomorrow night for a matchup with the Cowley Tigers.
