Caney Splits Homecoming Doubleheader with Bluestreaks

 

 The Caney Valley Bullpups ended homecoming on a high note as they defeated the Neodesha Bluestreaks 75-46 in basketball action last night.

 Colt Hightower scored 18 points in the 1st half on his way to leading all scorers with 27. Ten players recorded points for the Bullpups in the win.

Traxcyn Garton added 12 off the bench, while Gavin Messner and Payton Darden added eight apiece.

 Javonte White led Neodesha with eight points and Rylan Allen added seven for Neodesha.

 Homecoming festivities took place during halftime of the boy's game. Tucker Garton and Emmi Burris were named homecoming king and queen.

 In women's action the Bluestreaks defeated the Pups 55-52. The turning point in the game came with a little over a minute in the game, when an intentional foul was called against Caney. Neodesha, who was up by one at the time, sank both free throws and kept the ball, and came away with the victory.

 The Bullpups will be back in action Tuesday against Bluestem.
