The Caney Valley Bullpups outscored the Eureka Tornadoes 23-6 in the 1st quarter, on their way to a 64-31 victory in foggy Eureka last night.
Nine players scored for the Bullpups, including 25 points for Colt Hightower and ten for Payton Darden. Hightower had 19 by halftime for the Bullpups, who comfortably held the lead for much of the game. Gavin Messner and Layne Denny had seven points apiece, while Ben Matthews added some great low post defense against Eureka's Lyle Perrier and Jace Nixon.
Perrier led Eureka with eleven points, while Nixon added ten.
Eureka split the doubleheader, as the lady Tornadoes defeated the Lady Pups 65-33.
Caney looks to continue their momentum Friday, as Neodesha comes to town for homecoming.
