Red Ravens Split Weekend Doubleheader

Coffeyville Community College basketball saw mixed results on the court on Saturday.

The Lady Ravens got back on track with a 54-45 win over Garden City. It was a sloppy performance, with turnovers and extended periods of slow offense.

Head coach Tony Turner says his team played with some nerves.

Forward Ivy Fox led the way, posting 14 points with eight rebounds and four assists. Turner says Fox continues to develop as a player.

The men's team fell short to Garden City 106-92. Both Cris Carroll and Jahni Summers had 27 points for the Ravens.

Assistant coach Braeden Proctor says Summers is becoming a star in this league.

Freshman point guard Brian Griffith had another strong performance with 17 points. Proctor says the team needs him at his best moving forward.

The Red Ravens return to the court tomorrow night against Dodge City.
