The Kansas City Royals have spent the third most money on free agents of any team in Major League Baseball.

 

Kansas City has been as agressive as anyone this offseason, signing key contributors in Hunter Renfroe, Seth Lugo, Will Smith, Garrett Hampson, and most recently, Michael Wacha.

 

Wacha says a big reason he chose the Royals was to play with star catcher Salvador Perez.

 

The Royals have made improvements to close the gap in the division race for the AL Central. General manager JJ Picollo says this was the time to strike in the division.

 

Kansas City has already been seen as a division title contender in 2024.
