Major League Baseball continues to emphasize promoting the game's top young talent, announcing a prospect showcase coming this spring.

 

The showcase will be called "Spring Breakout", and will be a four day event with games featuring each organization's top prospects. All 30 teams will participate in the event, playing at least one game.

 

If the event is successful, the MLB is open to starting a tournament or expanding the event into a greater showcase.

 

Many current stars such as Julio Rodriguez, Fernando Tatis Jr, Elly De La Cruz, and Corbin Carroll began their career as top prospects.
