Former Kansas State quarterback Will Howard continues to draw the attention of major programs across the country, including a coach notorious for producing star quarterbacks.

 

Howard met this weekend with Lincoln Riley, head coach of the USC Trojans. USC is widely expected to pursue a new starting QB in the portal, with star Caleb Williams the anticipated top pick in the NFL Draft.

 

The potential partnership could make sense for both parties. Howard is one of the top available players in the transfer portal, ranked as the #2 player by ON3 recruiting. Riley also has had continued success with quarterbacks, playing key roles in the development of Baker Mayfield, Kyler Murray, Jalen Hurts, and Caleb Williams, resulting in three Heisman winners.

 

Howard has also received interest from Auburn, Lousiville, Missouri, and Wisconsin.
