One of the best battles for the Governor's Cup in recent memory went the way of the Wildcats in Lawrence.

 

Kansas State completed a comeback from 27-16 down in the fourth quarter to defeat the Jayhawks 31-27 on Saturday night.

 

Will Howard threw for 165 yards and two touchdowns, and running back DJ Giddens had 102 rushing yards and a touchdown.

 

Head coach Chris Klieman says this is a big team win.

 

The Wildcats are 8-3 and will play Iowa State this week, while the Jayhawks stumble to 7-4 and travel to Cincinnati.
