Kansas State Star Arrested, Suspended After Bar Fight

A key member of the Kansas State men's basketball team has been arrested and suspended following a bar fight over the weekend.

Senior forward Nae'Qwan Tomlin was arrested by Riley County police early Sunday morning for disorderly conduct and fighting following reports of a fight at Tubby's Sports Bar in Manhattan.

Head coach Jerome Tang has since suspended Tomlin indefinitely, stating that the senior is "not living up to the expectations we require of our players." Tang also says that although Tomlin is not with the team currently, he is still part of the family and will be supported.

Tomlin started 36 games for the Wildcats last season, and averaged 10.4 points and 5.9 rebounds per game. He scored double digit points in all four NCAA Tournament games as KSU made a run to the Elite Eight.

The Wildcats open the season on Monday night in Las Vegas against USC.
