Tylor Perry Named Top 25 Player in College Basketball

New Kansas State point guard Tylor Perry received an exciting honor this week, being named one of the best players in all of college basketball.

Perry began his career with two seasons at Coffeyville Community College, emerging as a star on Jay Herkelman's first national championship team in 2020-21. He would transfer to North Texas, winning Sun Belt Player of the Year and most outstanding player of the NIT Tournament last season. Earlier this summer, Perry announced he will spend his final season of college basketball at Kansas State.

A college basketball season preview guide, The Almanac, lists Perry as the 21st best player in all of Division 1. The guide includes writers and analysts from the Field of 68, Three-Man-Weave, Verbal Commits, and more.

Perry is listed above star Houston guard Jamal Shead and Illiniois guard Terrence Shannon Jr on the list. The former Red Raven will be a key player for Jerome Tang, and scored 33 points in an exhibition game last month.
