The Coffeyville Community College Red Ravens are still looking for an identity offensively in 2023, which led to a quarterback change during a 37-7 loss to Hutchinson.
The score was slightly misleading, with the Ravens digging an early 17-0 hole in the first quarter, and the teams playing level for the next two quarters. Freshman quarterback Geremiah Moore, from Wichita Northwest High School, saw his first action for the Ravens this season, entering in the second quarter and playing the remainder of the game.
Moore had mixed results against the top defense in the nation, throwing the ball for 116 yards but also throwing an interception. Moore also had 53 yards rushing, displaying his speed and athleticism that CCC valued during recruiting.
The lone touchdown scored by the Red Ravens came on a fumble recovery touchdown in the second quarter.
CCC is now 0-4 on the season, and return home to battle the Ellsworth Panthers this weekend.
