Caney Looking To Stay Amped Against Chargers

The Caney Valley Bullpups take the short trip tonight to take on the Cherryvale Chargers in the first game of district play this season.

Coach Criss Davis says he was proud of the play of both offensive and defensive lines last week, adding that their play each week determines whether the Bullpup team wins or loses. Davis adds that while Caney will always be a "run first" team, they've been working on the passing game this season.

With a group of backs led by Jackson Griffin and Ben Matthews seeing action at the tight end position, the Bullpups continue to work on a week-to-week basis, with the goal of another long playoff run.

Tonight's matchup at Cherryvale begins at 7:00 p.m. Pregame begins at approximately 6:45 on Greatest Hits 104.1.
