Red Raven volleyball has won nine consecutive games, with a major part of that success coming from an impact freshman.

 

Madison Grekstas is an outside hitter from Huntsville, Texas, and was unsure if she would even play college volleyball. She says it's a great feeling to be able to contribute immediately at the college level.

 

Grekstas spent the first ten matches of the season learning the college game, having highs and lows to begin her career. However, she has double-digit kills in seven of the past eight matches, including a career high 19 against Lamar on September 11th.

 

She says competing with talented teammates, such as sophomore Sarah Madsen, has taught her valuable advice already for her development.

 

CCC has thrived in their home gym this season, off to an 8-0 start at Nellis Hall in 2023. Grekstas says the home games are her favorite part of the experience so far.

 

The Red Ravens look to make it ten in a row tomorrow night against KCK, in a matchup of preseason conference championship contenders.
