Jayhawk Football Looking for Start 3-0

The Kansas Jayhawks will take the field this weekend looking to start 3-0 in back to back seasons, which hasn't happened since 1991-92.

KU travels to Reno, Nevada for a non-conference battle with the Nevada Wolfpack of the Mountain West conference. This will be the first game between the schools in the history of the programs. The Jayhawks haven't played a game in Pacific Time since 2002 against UNLV.

Coach Lance Leipold says Nevada brings a lot of different looks.

The Jayhawks racked up 539 total yards of offense against Illinois, with Devin Neal averaging 12 yards per carry and Jalon Daniels throwing for 277 yards. KU also had six sacks against Illinois, the most by a Jayhawk defense since 2009.

Coverage of the Kansas Jayhawks and the Nevada Wolfpack begins at 8:00 p.m. tomorrow night with kickoff scheduled for 9:30, on Greatest Hits 104.1 FM.
