Singer Dominates, Royals Walk Off Mariners

Royals fans went home happy last night after a thrilling walkoff win at Kauffman Stadium.

Brady Singer continued his stretch of elite pitching, only allowing two hits and two runs in 7.1 innings of work. Singer struggled mightily in April and May,, however has been sharp since, with an earned run average below four over the past three months.

Bobby Witt Jr had four hits on the night, including his 22nd home run of the season. Witt is hitting .349 with an OPS of over 1.050 in the last 30 games, making him the best shortstop in all of baseball since the All-Star break.

Dairon Blanco played hero for Kansas City, delivering the walk off winner on a bunt.

The Royals are 13-14 since losing a doubleheader on July 16th, which sent them to 26-67 on the season. They look to win the series over Seattle tonight when Jordan Lyles takes the mound against young right-hander Emerson Hancock of the Mariners.
