Football season in Manhattan is one month away, and a major publication has projected Kansas State to make the College Football Playoff.
Peter Bartell of Fansided released his 2023 CFP picks for 2023, in which he places the Wildcats at #4, along with #1 Alabama, #2 LSU, and #3 Florida State.
Bartell says the reason for this pick is because of the growth of the program under head coach Chris Klieman. Klieman won a pair of national titles at North Dakota State, and is coming off of leading KSU to a ten win season and Big 12 Championship a year ago.
The prediction would result in a 2022 Sugar Bowl rematch against Alabama, in which the Wildcats lost 45-20.
A majority of national outlets consider Kansas State, Texas, and Oklahoma as the three primary favorites for the 2023 Big 12 Championship.
