Royals Pitcher Beginning to Find Form

The Royals have endured a frustrating season to date, but one of their young starters is beginning to find a groove at the big league level.

Former top prospect Daniel Lynch had a delayed start to the season after injuring his shoulder at the end of Spring Training. However, since returning from injury, he has given the team innings and quality outings.

Lynch says a key for him has been trusting the defense to make plays behind him.

The left-handed pitcher has only allowed one earned run in his last 13 innings pitched, and has only allowed more than three runs in a start once this season.

Manager Matt Quatraro says Lynch was sharp again in his toughest test of the season against the Tampa Bay Rays.

The 26 year old has a 3.96 ERA and a team best three quality starts on the season.
