Jayhawks Land Returning Center

The roller coaster offseason for the Kansas Jayhawks continues, after a big man from last year's team announced his plan to return weeks after committing to another school.

San Antonio product Zach Clemence had originally entered the transfer portal and elected to transfer to UC Santa Barbara. As the weeks went by, however, he began to question if he had made the right decision.

Jayhawks head coach Bill Self says Clemence decided to return to Lawrence to improve as a player.

Clemence has played in 44 games in his two seasons at KU. He played in 24 games in the National Championship season in 2021-22.
