Just days after securing one of the transfer portal's top wings in Arthur Kaluma, Jerome Tang is chasing one of the top wings in the Class of 2024.

 

Derrion Reid, a four-star forward from Grovetown, Georgia, is widely considered one of the top forwards available in next year's high school class. Reid is ranked the 24th best player by On3, 26 by Rivals, and 40 at 247Sports.

 

While visiting Manhattan yesterday, Reid said he has enjoyed the connection with Tang and the staff, and that the Wildcats program is in frequent contact with him.

 

Reid is averaging 17.9 points and 6.5 rebounds per game playing for Team Thad in the Nike Circuit. He has 19 scholarship offers already, including from schools such as Alabama, Georgia, Indiana, Kansas, and Ohio State.

 

The Wildcats have signed one player to the Class of 2024 thus far, Bartlesville star guard David Castillo.
