An anonymous Big 12 football coach has exciting words regarding Kansas football this season.
The Jayhawks are a team on the rise under coach Lance Leipold, and that has begun to garner attention from fellow conference opposition.
According to an anonymous coach, "What Lance [Leipold] showed last year is that they’re going to raise the floor to being a really hard team to shut down and to scheme for, and then if they can keep recruiting and developing, the ceiling is a lot higher than we thought for Kansas. … They’re a wildcard this season."
Kansas had their best season as a program since 2008, winning six games and losing a bowl game in triple overtime against Arkansas. Leipold has landed major recruits all offseason, and the Jayhawks may be closer to competing than many thought.
