Kansas State Lands Former Creighton Star

Jerome Tang has been patient all offseason in the transfer portal, and once again, it's paid off in a big way for the Wildcats.

Kansas State is the new home for star forward Arthur Kaluma, who chose the Wildcats over Alabama and Kentucky. Tang was able to strike quickly, securing the commitment before Kaluma was scheduled to meet with Kentucky and Alabama this week.

A 6-foot-8 forward who has played internationally for Uganda in multiple tournaments, was rated the top transfer still available, as well as a top 100 player in the NBA draft pool.

Kaluma averaged 11.8 points and six rebounds last season as a starter for a Top 10 Creighton team. He put up 10+ points in all four of the Blue Jays NCAA Tournament games.

Kaluma also has seen success against the Kansas Jayhawks, scoring 24 points with 12 rebounds in the 2022 NCAA Tournament, in what many consider the best game of his career. The forward joins Nae'Qwan Tomlin, Tylor Perry, Cam Carter, and David N'Guessan as the backbone of the 2023-24 Kansas State Wildcats.
