Chiefs Backup Sees Signs of Brady in Mahomes

The newest member of the Chiefs quarterback room has some high praise for the reigning MVP.

Former Missouri Tiger Blaine Gabbert signed with Kansas City to serve as a back up to Patrick Mahomes, following four seasons in Tampa Bay serving the same role for Tom Brady.

According to Gabbert, however, there isn't much of a difference between the two quarterbacks. He says that Brady and Mahomes both take preparation very seriously, and that translates to the field.

Brady and Mahomes play with very different styles, but both are incredibly effective. Gabbert says it's obvious why they both succeed at the highest level.

Mahomes threw for 5250 yards and 41 touchdowns last season, winning the league MVP award before leading the Chiefs to his second Super Bowl championship.
