Norma Hunt, wife of the late Kansas City Chiefs founder Lamar Hunt, passed away this weekend at the age of 85.

 

The Hunt family made a statement regarding her passing:

"Kind, generous and unfailingly positive, mom was one of a kind. Her joy and zeal for life were infectious. She loved caring for others, and she had a rare ability to make everyone she encountered feel valued and at ease."

 

Numerous Chiefs players expressed their condolences on social media, including star quarterback Patrick Mahomes. NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, who knew Hunt for over 40 years, says he was "always struck by her warmth and grace."

 

Hunt was the only woman in NFL history to have attended all 57 Super Bowls.
