Mike Moustakas Returns to Kansas City

A Royals fan favorite and World Series champion made his return to Kauffman Stadium this weekend.

Mike Moustakas took the field for yesterday's series finale with the Colorado Rockies, and received a standing ovation from the Royals faithful.

Moustakas spent the first seven seasons of his career in Kansas City, winning American League Comeback Player of the Year, and serving as a crucial part of the lineup that won back to back AL pennants in 2014 and 2015.

Moustakas had two hits on the afternoon, but the Royals were able to secure a 2-0 win to salvage the series finale.

The third baseman is hitting .244 with two home runs and 13 runs batted in as a part-time player for the Rockies.
