Wichita State baseball is experiencing exteme roster reconstruction following the end of the 2023 season.
As of earlier today, the Shockers are down to eight players on the active roster, with the remaining players entering the transfer portal.
Recently named American Athletic Conference Player of the Year Brock Rodden announced his intent to depart earlier in the week, with the belief he will be drafted in July. Wichita native and star pitcher Grant Adler also is transferring, after posting a 2.55 ERA in 77.2 innings for the Shockers last season.
Wichita State will undergo a national search for the program's next head coach, after electing not to retain interim coach Loren Hibbs. The Shockers finished 30-25 and were eliminated from the conference tournament following losses to Memphis and Houston.
