The Field Kindley High School girls' and boys' track teams see success at the State Meet.
The Nado sent 15 track athletes to compete at State and nine of those placed in the Top 10. Junior Dante Boykins won state in the Triple Jump at 45 feet eight inches breaking his own school record, which he set last week at the Regional Meet. Boykins also placed second in the Long Jump. Sophomore Aaron Tunstall, who recovered from a broken leg during football season, placed second in the 200-meter dash. Freshman Erin Lopez placed third in the 100-meter dash. Senior Chaunte Porter finished 7th in the shot and discus.
The boy's 4x100 relay team of Boykin, Tunstall, Juniors Amanie, and Amir Luten finished 4th. The girl's 4x100 relay team of Lopez, Senior Makayla Strickland, Freshman Jakayla Johnson-Jones and Sophomore Brooklyn White placed 6th.
