Wildcats Land Transfer from SE Missouri State

Kansas State continues to bulk up the defense in an effort to defend their Big 12 championship, adding a defensive back from the transfer portal.

Tyler Nelome, formerly of Southeast Missouri State, commited to the Wildcats over other schools such as Louisville, West Virginia, Washington, Georgia Tech, and Western Kentucky. Nelome becomes the second defensive back to transfer to KSU this offseason, joining former Iowa Hawkeye Keagan Johnson.

Nelome had 25 tackles, five passes defensed, and an interception as he emerged as a star corner at the FCS level.

The newest Wildcat will make his debut against his former school, as Kansas State opens the 2023 season against SE Missouri State on September 2nd in Manhattan. Nelome will have two seasons of eligibility remaining.
