Red Raven Baseball Sets Multiple Program Records

Despite an up and down campaign that ended with a 28-31 record, and a loss to Cloud County in the region tournament, numerous Red Ravens broke program records this season.

Shortstop Mason Holton had a great season at the plate, with an OPS just under 1.000 and setting the school record with 65 runs batted in.

Freshman Carson Schrack, who was widely considered the strongest hitter on the team this season, set the program record with 22 doubles. Schrack also led the team in walks with 39, hit .404 on the season, and only struck out 17 times in 208 at-bats.

Outfielder Jack Bell shined on the bases all year, setting a new school record with 51 stolen bases, while only being caught five times.

Finally, freshman pitcher Ricky Hernandez tied the program record with nine wins on the mound in 14 starts. Hernandez and fellow freshman Ryan Leiker combined for a 15-9 record with a 4.04 ERA, and will look to lead the rotation next season.
