Coffeyville Community College Volleyball has had a pair of players commit to a Divison 1 program in the past two weeks.

 

Both Miyah Williams and Brooklyn Shook announced their intent to continue their playing careers at Mississippi Valley State University, a school out of the Southwestern Athletic Conference. Red Raven coach Deardin Kelley says that her players were excited about the opportunity of competing together at the top level of collegiate athletics.

 

Kelley is still inexperienced as a head coach, but takes pride in being understanding, honest, and emotionally available for her players. A former college volleyball player herself, she says she's honest about the goods and bads of college volleyball, and that allows for a genuine relationship.

 

The Red Ravens have numerous players on the current roster receiving interest from both D1 and D2 institutions.
