Kansas State football is coming off of their best season in a decade, and are ensuring that the coach behind the program's resurgance stays in Manhattan.
Head Coach Chris Klieman is nearing a four year extension that will pay him an average of $5.5 million annually.
Klieman is 30-20 in four seasons with KSU, and has won at least eight games in each full season he's coached. The 2022-23 Wildcats defeated TCU and won their first outright Big 12 Championship since 2003.
The Wildcats were recently ranked #12 in the CBS Sports post-spring Top 25, and open the season against Southeast Missouri State on September 2nd.
