The top basketball player in the state of Oklahoma for the class of 2024 has made his decision on where he will play college basketball.

 

Bartlesville star guard David Castillo had more than 15 offers from prestigious D1 programs, but narrowed down his decision to Oklahoma State, Kansas, and Kansas State. In the end, it was the Wildcats who won the sweepstakes for the five-star guard.

 

After almost exclusively pulling players from the transfer portal in his first season, Jerome Tang has his first major recruit commit to Manhattan. Castillo says Tang had his attention from the start.

 

With the pedigree of the Kansas Jayhawks, as well as the home state Oklahoma State Cowboys among the finalists, it's a valid question as to why Kansas State stood out. Castillo says it's because of the way the program preaches faith and guard play.

 

Castillo will enter his senior season less than 500 points away from 2000 for his career.
