Following one of the most successful athletic years in Kansas State history, a pair of high profile coaches appear to be in the process of getting extensions.

 

KSU football coach Chris Klieman, as well as men's basketball coach Jerome Tang, both had incredibly successful campaigns. Wildcat football won 10 games and their first Big 12 championship in a decade, while Wildcat basketball made it all the way to the Elite Eight in New York City, after being projected to finish last in the conference in the preseason polls.

 

Kansas State athletic director Gene Taylor knows that he wants both of these coaches in Manhattan long term, and says they are currently working on new deals to make that a reality.

 

Both programs are expected to be conference championship contenders, with the talent to potentially make a run at a national title as well.
