KJCCC Season Awards Announced

 

The KJCCC conference awards for the 2022-2023 season were announced this week, with a number of Ravens receiving honors.

 

For the Lady Ravens, Jordynn Conner was selected to the All-Defensive team, while Kyleigh Ortiz was named All-League Honorable Mention, and Cheyenne Banks was All-League 2nd Team.

 

Dodge City's Landon Steele was named KJCCC Coach of the Year, with Barton's Jenny Nkem Womsi winning Player of the Year, and Butler's Freddie Wallace earning Freshman of the Year.

 

On the men's side, sophomore Nathan Johnson was named to both the All-Defensive team and an Honorable Mention for All-League. Freshman Landon Glasper was named an Honorable Mention as well.

 

Both Hayden Brittingham and Jordan Wildy were selected to the KJCCC All-Conference 1st team. Brittingham averaged 13.4 points per game as well as 7.1 rebounds, while Wildy averaged 14.1 points and 8.3 rebounds per contest.

 

Dodge City's Brad Witherspoon won Coach of the Year, with Dodge City guard Jason Edwards winning Player of the Year, and Aaron Franklin of Hutchinson winning Freshman of the Year.
