Wildcats Pick Up Massive Win, Sweep Season Series with Baylor

Playing in front of the home faithful will certainly solve rough stretches, and following a five game road losing streak, the Kansas State Wildcats have responded in a big way with wins over Iowa State and beating the Baylor Bears 75-65 last night.

Kansas State improves to 21-7 with the win, while Baylor falls to 20-8 with the loss. KSU also sweeps the regular season series with the Bears, after beating Baylor in Waco earlier this season.

The Wildcats were sharp sharing the basketball, dishing out 20 assists as a team on a night where 3-point shots weren't falling. Keyontae Johnson had 25 points on 11-17 shooting to lead KSU.

Markquis Nowell was only sensational, posting yet another double double with 14 points and 10 assists. Nowell was also the closer at the charity stripe, going 10-10 at the free throw line to put the game away.

The win keeps the regular season conference championship hopes alive for the Wildcats, as they currently sit two games back of both Kansas and Texas. The Wildcats will travel to Stillwater to face off with the Oklahoma State Cowboys on Saturday.
