Two exciting basketball games this evening between the Fredonia Yellowjackets and the Caney Valley Bullpups. Fredonia won the girls matchup 41-40, but Caney won the guys contest 63-48. 
 Colt Hightower led all scorers with 21 points, while Ben Matthews added 13 and Nathan Kaminska had 11, including two clutch 3-pointers in the 4th quarter. The Bullpups best quarter of the season was the 4th quarter of this game, when they pulled away from the Yellowjackets after being tied at the end of three. 
 Joel Dutton had 13 in the loss for Fredonia. 
 The Caney Lady Pups had a chance to win at the buzzer, but the shot came up short.
 It was senior night for Caney. Now the teams get ready for postseason play.
