Nado Debut Siren in Honor of Former Coach

Field Kindley High School basketball drops both to Chanute in final home games of the season with the Lady Nado losing 49-44 and the Nado boy's falling 47-36.

Despite a career-high from Brooklyn White, scoring 14, the Lady Nado couldn't complete the fourth-quarter comeback attempt. Coffeyville struggled to get to the free throw line and struggled from the charity stripe as well. The Lady Nado didn't attempt a free throw until late in the third quarter and were only 1/6 from the free throw line in the game.

In between games, the Nado unveiled their new Nado siren. The siren is dedicated to late Nado Coach Mario Grant. His wife Jamie Grant and their youngest son sounded the siren for the first time.

The Nado boy's started the game strong and would hold a lead after the first quarter. Chanute would tie things up heading into the half and then take the third after the third. The Comets would pull away in the fourth. Just like the Lady Nado the boys struggled from the free throw line going 1/6.

Both teams fall to 5-13 on the season and have their longest road trip heading to Fort Scott on Tuesday.
