Wildcats Continue to Slide in Loss to Oklahoma

The Kansas State Wildcats could not stop the bleeding, dropping their fifth consecutive road game in a 79-65 loss to the Oklahoma Sooners.

The KSU defense was not as sharp as normal in the game, allowing the Sooners to shoot 51% from the field, and score 43 points in the second half. The Wildcats drop to 19-7 with the loss.

Nae'Qwan Tomlin continued to build upon his NBA draft stock, posting 17 points and 10 rebounds in 32 minutes. Keyontae Johnson and Markquis Nowell each had 14 points for KSU as well.

Coach Jerome Tang commented after the game and said that although defensive execution has been an issue at times this season, this is the first instance of effort on the defensive end being an issue.

The Wildcats will have a chance to get back on track at home against #18 Iowa State on Saturday.
