Field Kindley drops both to Parson on Senior Night with the Lady Nado falling 49-36 and the Nado boys losing in overtime 64-61.

 

The Lady Vikings had a strong first quarter to open up with a 21-10 after one. The Lady Nado defense would pick it up after the first but could only ever get it as close as seven points before Parsons would extend their lead back to double digits. It was a seven-point game 38-31 heading into the fourth but Coffeyville's offense stalled only scoring 5 points in the quarter. The Lady Nado were led by Taiylor Caron who had 14.

 

The Nado boys would lead by as much as double digits in the first half and hold a 28-22 halftime lead over the Vikings. A big second half by Jessie Jones, who had 16 of his 24 points in the second half, would send the game to overtime. The Nado, who had a 5-point lead with just over a minute left in the game, missed key free throws down the stretch. The Nado shot 11/21 from the free throw line with five of those misses coming in the fourth. Keshawn Hayes led the Nado with 16 points, including a big layup and foul to extend the lead back to five.

 

Both teams fall to 5-12 on the season. The Nado take on Chanute in their last home game on Friday.
