The Coffeyville Community College Red Raven softball program looks to look forward to a new era of competing under new head coach Meredith Smith.

 

CCC enters the 2023 season with a inexperienced roster that lacks collegiate reps, but does not lack the skills or talent needed to make an immediate impact. Assistant coach Mike Neal says that all players on this year's team have the opportunity to be an impact player for the Red Ravens.

 

The Red Ravens will be challenging themselves early, with their first six games of the season, as well as eight of the first ten, away from home.

 

A key for CCC this season will be attacking hitters on the mound and keeping opposing offenses off the scoreboard. Neal says the pitching approach varies by situation, but will emphasize throwing the proper strikes.

 

The Red Ravens will be in action for a doubleheader against Oklahoma Wesleyan JV beginning this afternoon at 2 p.m. CT.
