Chiefs Rally to Beat Eagles in Super Bowl LVII

For the third time in franchise history and the second time in the past four seasons, the Kansas City Chiefs stand alone atop the football mountain.

The Chiefs rallied from a 10 point halftime deficit to defeat the Philadelphia Eagles 38-35 in Super Bowl LVII. Patrick Mahomes was named Super Bowl MVP following a 3 touchdown performance without a turnover, all while playing with a high ankle sprain.

The Kansas City offensive line played their best game of the season, preventing the NFL's best pass rush from generating pressure on Mahomes. The Eagles went into the game as the first team in NFL history to have four players with at least 10 sacks in a season.

The Chiefs were also able to run the ball extremely effectively, rushing for 158 total yards. Mahomes, Isaiah Pacheco, and Jerrick McKinnon all averaged at least five yards per carry on the night.

Travis Kelce, Pacheco, Kadarius Toney, and Skyy Moore were the touchdown scorers for Kansas City in the game, while Harrison Butker bounced back from a missed kick in the first quarter to kick the game winning field goal with just eight seconds remaining.

The Chiefs enter the new season as the early betting favorites to repeat as champions, and the Super Bowl parade is expected to be Wednesday afternoon in Kansas City.
