With the highly anticipated arrival of new conference members Cincinnati, UCF, Houston, and BYU, the Big 12 conference released their 2023 conference football schedule last week.

 

The Kansas Jayhawks are looking to make another step forward after reaching their first bowl game in 15 seasons last year. KU opens their conference slate with a home game against a new conference foe, the BYU Cougars.

 

The Jayhawks will also have home matchups with Oklahoma, UCF, and in-state rival Kansas State. They will travel to face opponents Texas, Oklahoma State, and Iowa State before ending the regular season with a trip to face the Cincinnati Bearcats.

 

Kansas State looks to defend their conference championship and cement themselves as the top powerhouse with the departure of Texas and Oklahoma looming. The Wildcats open conference play against the UCF Knights at home, and also have home games against TCU, Houston, Baylor, and Iowa State. KSU will travel on the road to face Oklahoma State, Texas Tech, Texas, and the Kansas Jayhawks.

 

Both Kansas and Kansas State open conference play for the 2023 season on September 23rd.
