The Cherryvale Chargers were able to win a Tri-Valley League thriller tonight, defeating the Fredonia Yellow Jackets 73-65.

 

It was an intense battle for four full quarters, with the largest lead being 10 points, and a majority of the game being withing seven or fewer.

 

Cherryvale junior guard Stetson Schafer was spectacular, scoring 42 points on the night. Schafer was the best player on the floor, attacking the paint and seemingly making every single play needed to win the game.

 

Fredonia battled back and trimmed the lead to just 2 points, before senior Brock Robertson had a momentum crushing putback and-one. Both Jeremiah and Emmitt Couch, as well as Jalin Archeval were the major contributors for the Yellow Jackets.

 

Our next KGGF High School Game of the Week is Tuesday as Cedarvale takes on the Sedan Blue Devils.
