The final hurrah for a group of girls that have played together for since middle school has left South Coffeyville as one of the final three unbeatens in the state of Oklahoma.

 

The Lady Lions improved to 20-0 on the season with a 45-11 win over Barnsdall last night.

 

With the COVID pandemic and uncertainty surrounding the past two seasons, all senior Eryn Dolan wanted was to have a senior season full of good memories. Dolan says this season has been everything she could have hoped for.

 

The group has been playing together for more than five years, including an undefeated 8th grade run for many members of the team. Dolan says this connection has only made them closer on and off the floor.

 

With the win last night, South Coffeyville clinched the conference championship with one regular season game remaining. They will conclude the regular season on Sunday against Glencoe, before opening District Playoffs against Bluejacket on February 9th at 6 p.m.
