Red Ravens Land New Quarterback

After a successful season that came up just short in the NJCAA national semifinals, the Coffeyville Community College Red Ravens have found their next quarterback.

Carson May, a former 4-star recruit out of Jones High School in Oklahoma, spent his freshman season as a redshirt with the Iowa Hawkeyes. May has an intruiging combination of size, skill, and accolades that he will bringing with him to Coffeyville.

Standing at 6'5 and 220 pounds, May is the prototype size when it comes to a strong arm quarterback. He was ranked the 31st best QB in the nation in the class of 2022, and the 12th ranked player in the state of Oklahoma.

May also had a very successful career in his school as a four year varsity starter. He went 38-11 in his high school career with a trip to the playoffs in all four seasons. He finished his career with 8,549 passing yards and 107 touchdown throws. He was also the Oklahoma 2A Player of the Year in his senior season.

May will enter his time at Coffeyville competing to take over the starting job from Isaiah Velez, who threw for 1228 yards and 9 touchdowns in his sophomore season in 2022.
