Nado Split in Pittsburg, Both Teams 2-2 Heading into the Break

 

Field Kindley High School basketball split in Pittsburg with the Lady Nado winning 45-39 and the Nado boys falling 63-45.

 

Pittsburg would open the game on a 12-1 run with all 12 points coming from Jacqueline Hall. The Lady Nado would answer ending the first quarter on a 9-0 to make it a 12-10 game after one. Coffeyville would hold Hall to just one more point for the rest of the game. Seven Lady Nado players scored with Aubriona Noblit, Chaunte Porter and Sydney Burnett all scoring eight points. Kaylin Caron added seven, Tianna McCullough had six, Erin Lopez with four and Taiylor Caron had two.

 

The Nado boys kept things close in the first half of their matchup with Pittsburg trialing 23-20 at halftime. In the second half, Mason English would take over for the Dragons scoring 15 of his 24 points in the third quarter helping Pittsburg pull away. English and Jackson Turnbull combined for 47 points with Turnbull scoring 15 of his 23 in the first half. Jamarrion Logan was the only Nado in double digits with 12.

 

Both Coffeyville teams head into the Winter Break at 2-2 and will start 2023 at home on January 3rd against rival Independence.
